Cotton felt fabric is one of the special accessories for handmade leather handbags. It is not very commonly used, but it is indispensable in some specific handbag styles. 

It is often used as a spacer between leather materials, or to cover screw protrusions after hardware installation to improve the feel. It feels soft, elastic and has a little supporting effect.

It is also commonly used when making inside stitching bags.
